    i'm going to build my own computer. here is what im looking at:

    Depending on your budget, you may be going overkill here. Mobo doesn't have to be so powerful. I would recommend a cheaper AM3+ Mobo that supports overclocking. Then grabbing a good cooler and FX-8320. You'll be able to overclock it beyond 4GHz with even a semi-decent air cooler and the overall cost would be less for cooler + CPU. All savings from those can then be put into a good GPU.

    An example of a build that follows the thought pattern I had above is this. Though I decided to go for a more expensive cooler to push for even higher overclocks without making my room a sauna or an airport.

    Will there be an official SoA-Computer now? :D
    That would be fun, a community contest (every few months) to find the best/cheapest computer for a game which has also good support for a free GNU/Linux (no proprietary drivers, ...) which also has decent FPS in SoA.​

    But this page dares to not show me prices in € or $!
