    Nice work! I really like the look of those gems. I guess that Qubicle doesn't support transparency? Ah well, still look good.

    transparency with voxels is really tough :p


    Also all of this stuff is awesome! Very detailed!

    If you use transparency with voxels, then you have to sort the voxels back to front every time the camera moves, which could potentially have to completely rebuild your entire model every frame :/. Full transparency is fine, because alpha values of 0 wont write to the depth buffer at all. But partial transparency is an issue with graphics. Particularly with voxels. I achieve transparency with water by drawing it in another layer, but there are visual issues if you try to look through multiple layers of water.
