    I'm finally almost done screwing around with space system stuff. After the demo build I will get to devote all my resources to voxels and planetary generation again.

    That's dependent on some issues we're having with UI. We'll try to get it to you very soon, but we don't want to release it publicly in the state it is currently in. :)

    No worries; I've been having fun building random stuff in the current version. It would be fun to try the other side of the game in the demo (you know, the space side) :D

    I think Matt is gonna make a post talking about our issues with it. Basically, we were trying to use the Awesomium HTLM/JS/CSS UI library, but it has lots of issues we have been wasting time trying to work around, like a lack of 64 bit support, issues with nested arrays, and various quirks and bugs, not to mention it has terrible performance with respect to an OpenGL UI library. For this reason, we are going to be making our own UI library in our engine, probably modeled after windows forms.

    So, before the demo is released, you will have to create your own UI? If so, and sorry about my lack of knowledge on these sort of things, is that a big undertaking?

    It will be reasonably large in all, but a rudimentary working form shouldn't take as long as one would expect for such a huge aspect of a game. Read the blog post under this thread if you want to know more.

    Sorry I'm late, everyone! I was confirmed at my church today, and the whole family had a big party. :)

    Wooooooah! The graphics in this game are by far the best I have ever seen in any voxel game. Devs, be proud of yourselves! :D

    /*Begin Sarcasm*/ I completely disagree. The planets are too round, the sun is too round, for goodness sake the orbits are round! That and the graphics are of a much too high quality! This is a voxel game! They should be SQUARE AND PIXELATED!! /*End Sarcasm*/
